Its no suprise when we see a new Camaro drive by we think "Muscle Car" as its hertiage traces all the way back to this 1967 Camaro with Lighted Engine. This toy is huge at OVER 13" long (1:10 scale equates to real-life car of just over 14 feet).
Some muscle car characteristics on this car that we still see today is the "wide body" rear fenders and the "wide body" front fenders. The reason for the wide body "look" is actually dictated by function.
"Bigger tires equals faster speeds but they "stick out" ... so lets cover them with bigger fenders" and the muscle car look was set into play.
It takes more than look to be a muscle car, we need muscle and this HUGE car has it and loves to show it. When the switch on the bottom rear is turned on the engine jumps to life with a roar, a flashing light under the engine head, and a spinning engine fan on the front. You better get a quick look before this HUGE camaro scoots away using its mystery action bump-n-go function.
Styling wise this 1967 Camaro with Lighted Engine really captures the essence, lines and standout features of this iconic vehicle. Check out the "hide away" headlights that are so well hidden away you cant find them. Also noteworthy is the deep interior (the floor is set deeper than most cars) which is a feature only found on higher-end toy cars.
Given just how HUGE this car is we think Bandai really wanted this one to stand out. Mission accomplished Bandai.
