Twirly-Whirly Rocket Ride

ALPS

Mfg By:

This amusement park crowd favorite Rocket Ride comes to life in this action packed toy from ALPS.   Each rocket car could hold up to four thrillseeking riders (two on each end of the car).  This means two are always traveling forward while the other two are going backwards.  As-if spining like a ferris wheel vertically into the air was not thrilling enough, this ride also rotates to where they rocket cars are circling parallel to the ground.  It is recommended to eat after this ride, not before.

This battery-operated version operates exactly as described above, but includes a flashing light on each rocket and a ringing bell on the side that lets everyone know to stand clear when this toy is in operation.  The center tower structure is a cleaverly disguised battery compartment accepting 2 D Cell batteries from the bottom screw on cap.

Being extremely rare with exciting action and super colorful space themed litho art this toy is highly collectible and commands a premium price, expecially among circus/carnival themed toy collectors.

Special note:  If you have not noticed already, this Exhibit photo was the inspiration for our MOBOTOY Logo and as such is one of our favorite toy photos.
