This 1958 Ford Police Car is a very rare and desirable car.  The super rich detail coupled with mechanically spining lights, and intermediate working real siren, and a "to the floorboards" interior may be a few reasons why it remains so popular.  Truly this is an excellent example workmanship and "the art of engineering" to bring this multi-featured toy.
